Let's Meet: SATYA ORGANIC SKINCARE.

Founded by Patrice Mousseau; Satya specializes in care that soothes dry, itchy, and inflamed skin with plant-based, fragrance-free, and steroid-free products.

Originally from Ontario, Patrice is part of the Ojibwe and Fort William First Nations, and currently resides in Vancouver, BC. Prior to establishing Satya, Patrice had career in broadcasting and journalism and worked for APTN and CBC for over 15 years. She never imagined pivoting so drastically into becoming a beauty brand owner and skincare formulator, but she's never looked back since. She says, "Quite often I’m just like: ‘I can’t believe that this is what I’m doing now’.” 

Nowadays, Satya Organic Eczema Relief is available at over 600 stores in Canada and has also successfully entered stores overseas in Hong Kong. Her product, originally for Esme, is now providing natural care and relief for eczema sufferers all over the globe. 

Finally, beyond the product, Patrice has a firm belief in sustainability and innovation, so she grew Satya alongside Coastal First Nations’ Great Bear Rainforest Initiative and is carbon-neutral. Patrice and Satya are also recipients of multiple Indigenous business awards, including: BC Aboriginal Business of the Year and Startup Canada’s Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year.
